Let us start with the part that is awkward for us: Oblio is much cheaper than BIWizz and covers more modules. One subscription, €29 a year, with unlimited invoices, users, companies and points of sale, and stock, production, e-Factura, e-Transport and SAF-T all included at no extra cost. The first year is free, and after that there is a limited free plan capped at 3 documents a month.
If you choose on features per euro, Oblio wins comfortably and there is no point pretending otherwise. BIWizz makes sense in one case: if you want an AI assistant working on your company data, a shared space with your accountant, and direct import from SAGA. Oblio does not do those things — but plenty of businesses do not need them.
Choose BIWizz if
- You want to ask about your company data in Romanian and get answers, reports and prepared actions — not just issue documents.
- Your accountant keeps the books in SAGA and you want to import the Firebird (.fdb) database directly, with no migration.
- You want a shared space with your accountant: the owner sees clean numbers without sending documents over WhatsApp or email, the accountant stops re-keying them by hand, and every action passes through an approval queue with an audit log over what the assistant prepared.
- You want to upload several invoices or receipts at once and let AI classify them and extract the data automatically.
- You want to query your data from Claude or ChatGPT via the MCP connector.
Choose Oblio if
- Cost matters most: €29/year from Oblio, with everything it includes, is hard for anyone in the Romanian market to beat.
- You need stock management or production — Oblio includes them free, BIWizz does not have them at all.
- You have several companies or points of sale: Oblio makes them unlimited on the same subscription, while BIWizz workspace counts depend on the plan.
- You just want to issue invoices correctly and cheaply, with no AI assistant — in which case you would be paying BIWizz for something you do not use.

On price, we have no answer
Oblio Nelimitat costs €29 a year. BIWizz has a permanent free plan, Liber, but with limits: 25 invoices and about 15 Wizzy answers a month, one workspace. The first paid plan, La Zi, is RON 80 a month (RON 800 a year) — several times the Oblio annual subscription, which includes unlimited companies, users and invoices.
If budget is the main criterion and you need correct invoicing with e-Factura and SAF-T, choose Oblio. That is honest advice, and giving it here costs us nothing: businesses for which price is the only criterion would not have stayed with us anyway.
What you actually buy when you pay more
BIWizz is not sold as better invoicing software but as a different kind of product: a place where company data — invoices, banking, documents, ANAF SPV, SAGA records — comes together, with an assistant on top that you talk to in Romanian.
The difference shows up in the questions you currently put to your accountant, or leave unasked: "why did I pay more VAT this month than last", "which customers are consistently late", "prepare last quarter's position in Excel". Wizzy answers from real data, shows its sources, and if you ask for an action, prepares it and brings it for approval.
If you do not miss those questions in your workflow, do not pay for them.
The case for using both
They are not mutually exclusive. You can issue invoices in Oblio at €29 a year, while BIWizz syncs issued and received invoices from ANAF SPV and gives you the question, report and reconciliation layer on top. Total cost stays low and each product does what it does best.
Worth adding that BIWizz is in early access while Oblio has years on the market and a large user base. If you want stability and nothing else, that is a genuine argument in their favour.
