FGO is the only invoicing product in this comparison that already ships its own AI connector: it publishes an MCP server for Claude (mcp.fgo.ro) and a ChatGPT integration, letting you ask natural-language questions about your FGO data and even issue invoices or send to SPV. Architecturally it is very close to what BIWizz does — and it would be dishonest to claim "we have AI, they do not".
The real difference is not whether AI exists but how deep it goes. FGO's assistant queries the data in FGO. Wizzy runs code over your data in an isolated environment and returns computed Excel, PDF, Word files and charts, reads PDF and XML documents, and can work from your accountant's SAGA Firebird database. On entry price: FGO starts at RON 15 a month + VAT, with 12 free months for newly founded companies; BIWizz has the permanent free Liber plan, and its first paid plan is RON 80 a month.
Choose BIWizz if
- You want the assistant to compute, not just query: Wizzy runs code over your data and hands back Excel, PDF, Word and charts.
- You want the AI to read documents — PDF and XML — and prepare the account coding for your accountant.
- Your accountant keeps the books in SAGA and you want to read the Firebird (.fdb) database directly. FGO pushes invoices to SAGA but does not read the existing records there.
- You want a shared space with your accountant: the owner sees clean numbers without texting photos of receipts on WhatsApp, the accountant stops re-keying them by hand, and every action passes through an approval queue with an audit log.
Choose FGO if
- You have a newly founded company: FGO gives 12 months free on the GO eFactura subscription, which is hard to turn down at the start.
- You need stock management or integrations with online stores and marketplaces (eMAG, including FBE) — they are in the GO Premium subscription, and BIWizz does not have them.
- You want an AI connector without moving up a plan: FGO announces no separate subscription for its Claude or ChatGPT integration, while at BIWizz the MCP connector is included from the La Zi plan (RON 80/month).
- You want a native mobile app, or invoicing from inside your bank: FGO has iOS and Android apps and is embedded in BT Go and Salt Bank.

If you have just founded your company, read this first
FGO gives 12 months free on the GO eFactura subscription to newly founded companies. If you are starting out and need strictly invoicing with e-Factura, it is hard to argue against a free year, and we will not try.
BIWizz has no trial period, but a permanent free plan, Liber: no card, with 25 invoices and about 15 Wizzy answers a month. That is enough to tell whether the assistant is useful to you; FGO's free first year for newly founded companies remains the more generous offer.
Both have AI. Where they genuinely differ
Plenty of comparisons online still say Romanian invoicing software has no AI. For FGO that is no longer true: they run an MCP server for Claude and a ChatGPT integration, letting you ask natural-language questions about your data and trigger actions, with a confirmation step before the important ones. If that was your criterion, FGO meets it.
The difference is what happens after the question. FGO's assistant reads the data in FGO and answers. Wizzy starts an isolated environment and actually runs code over your data — which is why it can hand back an Excel file with formulas, a PDF, a Word document or a chart, rather than just an answer in a chat window.
The second difference is where the data comes from. FGO answers about what is in FGO. Wizzy also works over documents you give it (PDF, XML) and over your accountant's SAGA records, read straight from the Firebird database. If your company keeps its books in SAGA, that distinction matters more than any other row in the table above.
What does not differ: neither replaces your accountant, and both require human confirmation before actions that change anything.
What we could not verify
SAF-T (D406) does not appear explicitly on the FGO subscriptions page. We do not conclude that they lack it — only that we did not find it published there. If your business has a SAF-T reporting obligation, ask them directly before subscribing.
Likewise, their Claude and ChatGPT integration pages do not state which subscription these features require. We assumed they are not gated to a particular plan, because nothing says they are — but it is worth asking.
The same subscriptions page carries both an older table with monthly invoice caps and newer cards advertising unlimited invoices metered as annual automations. We used the cards, as the current version.
